Project Portfolio Management Consultant
ProjectCorps™, a leading strategic project and portfolio management firm in Seattle, seeks a consultant with exceptional project portfolio management-related consulting skills and direct experience working with complex business/organization environments in this role or from within a PMO.
Qualified candidates will be ambitious professionals with demonstrable experience managing projects, analyzing portfolio and project management issues, developing processes, and using PPM software systems. The ideal candidate must be able to offer unique perspectives, develop innovative yet practical solutions and adapt to changing work environments and office cultures.
Qualifications:
- Deep knowledge and experience in project portfolio management, project management organizations, industry standards and best practice, project scheduling and budgeting, business and information analysis, requirements management and information technology.
- Able to think strategically and act tactically
- Expertise in diverse business subject-areas
- Experience in business process reengineering
- Critical thinking capability
- Exceptional verbal and written, (sample required) communication skills
- Understands new technologies and business models; able to evaluate and translate relevancy to clients needs and/or vision
- Proven ability to lead and manage teams to solid solution outcomes
- Disciplined, organized, and team-oriented work style
- Able to multi-task and manage multiple projects, initiatives and work assignments to completion on time
- Exceptional facilitation, communication and presentation skills
Requirements:
- BA/BS, or higher. PMP or Six Sigma certification, required
- 5 – 8 years of direct consulting experience in the project portfolio management field in increasingly complex project management environments. PMO leadership experience may qualify.
- Experience in operations, product development finance and/or IT, a plus
- Contract position
- Strong capability with Word, Excel, Access, Project, Visio, and PowerPoint
- Ability to travel
