Project Corps participates in key meetings to be held at 2006 PMI EMEA Global Congress – Madrid, Spain

Shelley Gaddie will participate in two key working sessions being held in conjunction with PMI’s EMEA Congress. As a member of PMI’s Research Member Advisory Group (RMAG), Shelley will contribute to an all day meeting focused on PMI’s Research Program Goals, sponsored Research Projects, and final preparations for the PMI Global Research Conference to be held in Montreal in July 16-19, 2006. Shelley will also serve as moderator for the Research Program Working Session held on May 7th. This is a unique opportunity for academics, executives, and project management professionals to meet with the PMI Research Program Team to learn more about current and future research initiatives.

How does a PMO organize and operate to strike the right balance between the tactical and strategic, fluidly react as necessary while proactively introducing new ways of evaluating and managing work, and progressively increase its overall value? The PM Value Framework™ is applied to the analysis of several PMOs and used to evaluate and refine their operations. Specific value drivers and their related PMO products and services are addressed. Staffing to effectively address the needs of both the project management community and decision-making leadership is discussed. The challenges of the shared service model as applied to the PMO are explored. Participants will leave with examples of structures and operating models that have successfully delivered on the full value proposition of a PMO.
